The nylon rope on the left was not treated with anything. The other three ropes were each soaked in a different encapsulation product and allowed to dry in the sun... Next they were hung in a vat of dark dye and allowed to wick as far as as possible. All three encapsulation products stopped wicking after two to three hours... The untreated rope was still wicking when the picture was taken six hours later. All three encap products did extremely well at preventing wicking in such an adverse situation. The nylon rope on the right was treated with a VacAway Encap Product.
